Rains Flood Home in Hickory, NC

When a tarp from previous damage flew off the roof of this home, a rainstorm flooded and damaged the interior. In all, 8 rooms throughout the home were affected. The company currently working on the home repairs started the demo work, so we focused on mitigation. We first performed a moisture check to get a relative idea of the moisture levels and to set our drying goal. Once the air movers and dehumidifiers were placed, our mitigation team checked in daily to monitor the moisture levels in the home. Once we met the goal, we removed our equipment. The customer was happy that we were able to prevent mold and structural damage from hindering the repairs on the home.
